We Become What We Love

In this Commentary Clip Exclusive, Tony discusses the central character of the parable of the rich man Jesus taught on the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. As he explains, by using the generic name of “rich man,” Jesus has communicated a deep truth about the nature of human life. Namely, that love is a profoundly unitive force such that we ultimately become what we love.
