In his reflection for this Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time, Tony Crescio reflects on what Jesus tells us today about what our love for Him must be like in light of what it means to live as a member of the Church. To do this, Tony discusses St. Paul’s teaching of the Church as the Body of Christ. While what this means may be difficult to understand, when we take the time to do so, it becomes clear why Jesus teaches us today that whoever receives the one He sends, receives Him.
